Crossfield’s Pete Knight Days honours the legendary Pete Knight and is held in mid-June every year. The main attractions are the Foothills Cowboys Association sanctioned rodeo, and Crossfield Elks Demolition Derby which draw in an estimated 3000 spectators and entrants at the Crossfield rodeo grounds.
Along with the Rodeo, other activities include fireworks and nightly dances featuring popular country bands, kids entertainment, and intermission entertainment including the very popular Mutton Bustin’ and new this year – Wild Pony races.
The rodeo and demolition derby are centered at the Rodeo Grounds, and the pancake breakfast, parade, and picnic lunch are held in town. See our Schedule of Events for more information.
Pete Knight Days is brought to you by the Crossfield Rodeo Society, a volunteer, non-profit organization and proud sponsor of the Crossfield community. Other community organizations assist in various ways including the Crossfield Elks #416 who organize the Demolition Derby, run the bar and provide strong volunteer support for the weekend.
